Forskolin is an ingredient found in the Indian coleus plant, also known as Coleus forskohlii. It is a labdane diterpene that is currently very popular as a nutritional supplement, predominantly in the body building circles. The ability to raise the levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate, cAMP, by deploying the enzyme adenylyl cyclase in the cAMP dependent pathway, made forskolin very important.
