16-carboxylic acid methyl ester is commonly known as yohimbine. Its chemical formula is C21H26N2O3 and Mol. Mass is 354.45g/mol. At room temperature it is a white crystalline powder sparingly soluble in water. It is commonly used in medicine for treatment of high blood pressure; it attaches to neurotransmitters (such as norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine) resulting in catecholamine depletion in the body. It is also used in making tranquilizers for animals. Research also suggests that 16- Carboxylic acid, methyl ester has activity of a weak blocker of alpha-adrenergic receptor. It has also found applications in arteriosclerosis and angina pectoris.
17-Hydroxy-Yohimban, also known as Yohimbine Hydrochloride. Yohimbine is an odorless; white crystalline powder; scarcely soluble in water; soluble in chloroform and alcohol. The chemical title is 17-hydroxy-yohimban-16- carboxylic acid, methyl ester. Yohimbine works as a weak blocker of alpha-adrenergic receptor. It is used in angina pectoris and arteriosclerosis, and has been used as a mydriatic and local anesthetic and for its supposed aphrodisiac properties. Yohimbine is a therapeutic derivative of the bark of a tree named Corynanthe yohimbine.
2-phenyl-1-aminoethane is an alkaloid and monoamine compound commonly known as Phenethylamine (PEA). Phenylethylamine, ß-Phenylethylamine and 2-Phenylethanamine are a few other names it is also known by. Phenethylamine is said to act as a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator in the human brain. Chocolate is one of the many foods in which this is found. It occurs in chocolate generally after the microbial fermentation takes place. In US and Europe, phenethylamine is sold as a dietary supplement for the purpose of various dietary benefits. Phenethylamine, at room temperature is colorless, but is an aromatic amine. Green Tea Extract, a bioflavonoid rich, potent extract used primarily for fighting free radicals. It contains a high content of polyphenols, which are a class of bioflavonoids. Green tea extract contains a potent antioxidant, EGCG, which is over 200 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing the pro-oxidants and free radicals that attack lipids in the brain. Green tea extract helps with thermogenesis and aids in the metabolism of fat. Green Tea has been used for years as a powerful antioxidant, it may also be helpful in shedding fat.

Once very common in India, it is now there listed as endangered, but not in northern Africa or elsewhere in central Asia. It was very popular in the Indian Ayurvedic medicine, but also currently in the western medicine for treating of heart problems. The hydrocarbon secretion of Guggul contains a plant sterol, guggulsterone, which in the human body seems to act as an antagonist to the farnesoid X receptor. Furthermore, guggulsterone is active in increasing the natural thyroid production. This in turn stimulates the metabolism and may raise the body temperature, burning stored excess fat.
Hoodia Gordonii grows in Namibia and South Africa naturally. It is a leafless spiny plant useful for medicinal purposes. These flowers are pollinated by flies mainly as they smell identical to rotten meat. However, there is no evidence of Hoodia working in humans as appetite suppressant. Due to the lack of clarity and fear of breaking down of liver, it is not recommended for obesity.
L-5 Hydroxytryptophan, also known as Griffonia seed extract or L-5-HTP, is produced naturally from the Griffonia simplicifolia trees in West Africa.
